Hi! I’m Julie Jones (Pronouns: She/Her/Hers) and I am a psychotherapist and the founder, owner and executive director of Well Life Therapy, LLC. I am grateful for the opportunity to provide you with timely and compassionate care in a safe and comfortable environment. My journey to being a group practice owner has been deeply meaningful and fulfilling. Well Life Therapy is not just my work but my passion and purpose. I hope you find the healing, solutions, growth and answers that you are seeking. My own work with clients is inspired by yogic philosophy, neuroscience, integrative medicine and mindfulness practice. My belief that mind, body and spirit are one is how I live and what I teach my clients.

Although no longer able to see new clients, I enjoy working with teens and adults and specialize in depression and mood disorders, anxiety, grief and bereavement, chronic pain/illness, perinatal/postpartum mood disorders, difficult life transitions and those navigating complex relationships, non-monogamy and intimacy challenges.

I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. I have furthered my education in perinatal mental health and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as well as integrative medicine, mindfulness meditation, cognitive-behavioral therapy and neuroscience. I am a founding member and board member of the Connecticut Chapter of Postpartum Support International. I am also a member of the American Counseling Association, Connecticut Counseling Association and the Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists.

**Please note that I am currently unable to see new clients. I am confident that our amazing clinical staff can meet your needs!**

Team Leader

Leadership is a habit...a daily practice that you cultivate and refresh. I strive to lead the team at Well Life with integrity and compassion. My goals are to inspire while providing the guidance and direction our team needs to feel confident and respected. My commitment to my team and to Well Life is my priority and I will always lead with kindness, fairness, effective decision making and open communication. I am excited for the future of Well Life and our team!

Mind Shifter

A mind shift is a change in your focus and perception. When we make a conscious choice to take charge of our mental habits and redirect our attention in helpful and effective ways extraordinary things will start to happen. The intention is to challenge our beliefs so that we may overcome many of the struggles that we endure. Sometimes the simplest shift in how we look at ourselves, our experiences, our relationships and our circumstances can bring about new insights and a fresh beginning. My therapeutic work involves helping my clients understand this type of cognitive flexibility and integrate these practices into their daily lives.

A Little More About Me

I am most grateful for my family and friends, my health and my community. I live in the town I was raised in and find comfort in this place that has always been home to me. I have an adult son, another teen son and a husband (and two kitties) that are pretty amazing. We enjoy watching football and taking vacations together. I am a huge yogi and discovered yoga at a time where I really needed self care, comfort and peace in my life. I wore many hats while juggling the growth of Well Life and care-giving for my family. I realized that if I was going to be the wife, mother and friend that I wanted to be I needed to take care of myself. Yoga became a loving place where I could care for and work solely on myself. I love to travel, listen to podcasts and watch medical shows and true crime. My guilty pleasure is reality TV and anything Twilight related!
