Cancellation Policy

A cancelled appointment hurts three…you, your therapist and another client.  Therapy sessions are scheduled in advance and are a time reserved exclusively for our clients. When a session is cancelled without adequate notice, we are unable to fill this time slot by offering it to another current client, a client on the wait list, or a client with a clinical emergency. In addition, we are unable to bill your insurance company for sessions that are not kept. 

All privately insured and self pay clients will be charged a fee of $65.00 when an appointment is missed or cancelled without giving 48 hours advanced notice. Husky/medicaid clients are not charged a fee but are expected to adhere to our policy. This means that if an appointment is scheduled for 3pm on a Tuesday, notice must be given by 3pm on Sunday. You can cancel your appointment by leaving a voice mail or emailing your specific therapist. Please note that email and text reminders are provided as a courtesy to our clients and you as the client are ultimately responsible for keeping track of and attending your scheduled appointments.

The only time we will waive this fee is in the event of serious or contagious illness, power/internet loss (for telehealth appointments) or extreme weather.

Missed appointment fees will be automatically charged to the credit card you have left on file for us and have given permission for us to charge.

Treatment may be reevaluated and/or terminated when any client misses 3 or more consecutive appointments or is frequently missing appointments over the course of treatment.

Please note that if you miss two scheduled intake/first-time appointments for any reason we will not be able to schedule a third intake appointment. We are happy to provide you with some outside referrals if you wish.
