Annie DeLeo, MFTA
Marriage & Family Therapy Associate
Hi, my name is Annie DeLeo, MFTA (she/her). I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate deeply devoted to supporting individuals on their journey towards improved self-esteem and positive body image. My mission is to support others in the building and strengthening interpersonal relationships, gaining self-understanding and self-compassion, healing from loss and grief, and navigating life transitions. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I aim to provide a peaceful, safe, compassionate environment that promotes healing, inspires doing the inner work, and exhibits the importance of connection.
I received my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Central Connecticut State University. I have assisted individuals and families in breaking unhealthy intergenerational patterns and dysfunctional cycles through strength-based, mindful approaches. I treat individuals with diagnoses and symptoms of trauma, depression, PTSD, and anxiety disorders and provide an environment that allows others to experience relief from shame and relationship struggles. While I work with all individuals and families, my passion lies in supporting women’s health. My mission is to create a sacred place for women to explore, heal and empower themselves to embrace their true selves, nurture their strengths, and cultivate self-compassion. Together we can work towards building a foundation of self-love, self-acceptance, and resilience that can empower you to lead a fulfilling life.
My holistic and client-centered therapeutic approach integrates Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness techniques, and relational awareness. I am deeply committed to working through the therapeutic process with you, supporting you in reaching your therapeutic goals and emotional healing. It would be an honor to join you on your path to healing and self-discovery.
Annie participates with Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, and Husky.
Annie will be providing in-person sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
A Little More About Me
Outside the therapy realm, you can find me indulging in my versions of self-care. My favorite things are spending time in the sun by the water, meditating, reading, journaling, and being surrounded by my friends, family, and pets. Life is about experiences, and I crave travel and human connection. I am deeply rooted in my Italian culture and love cooking and baking. I am working towards my Reiki healing certification and aspire to become trained in Somatic Therapy and Yoga. Through my personal journey of self-discovery and healing, I've become fascinated with the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Just as I am myself, I want to help others work towards achieving balance and harmony in all dimensions of their life.
