Emily Bryant, LPCA

Licensed PROFESSIONAL counselor associate

Hello! My name is Emily Bryant (she/her/hers) and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. We all face challenges in life that may leave us experiencing an array of emotions, some heavier than others. Seeking counseling can be an overwhelming decision, but a courageous step in navigating life’s obstacles. My goal is to ease this process for you by creating a warm and welcoming environment where you can feel safe in your vulnerability.

Authentic connection is the core of effective therapy. I value the ability to create a genuine and trusting partnership with clients to foster exploration into understanding their unique needs. I utilize a person-centered approach that employs warmth, empathy, compassion, respect, and empowerment to be able to meet you wherever you are in your healing journey. I am passionate about working collaboratively in the counseling relationship to help you grow and achieve your personal goals. You are the expert on your own mental health, and I aim to use our connection to support and guide you to be the best version of yourself.

I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University and have worked with a wide range of clients. I have experience with children, teenagers, adults, senior citizens, and families with various issues, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance use, gender identity, trauma, PTSD, grief, and other life transitions. I use a variety of interventions and practices depending on each client’s unique needs; this includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, art-based therapy, mindfulness, and breathwork. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and have experience integrating this into my therapeutic practice by utilizing music-based interventions. Music can be an important tool in an individual’s emotional growth and well-being, whether listening or playing.

I strive to create an accepting space for all clients by continuously growing my competence in multicultural issues. I provide gender-affirming care and believe in anti-racist practices.

Emily participates with Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, and Husky.

Emily provides in-person sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

A Little More About Me

I love to spend my free time at home with my partner and our pets. I am a huge animal lover and find immense comfort in the unconditional love pets can provide. Playing board games is a favorite hobby of mine and occupies a large part of my social life. I enjoy nerdy pop culture and love all things Star Wars. Other interests include video games, reading, crocheting, playing piano, listening to music, baking, watching TV, and taking long walks with our dogs.
